Erwin G. Bauer Obituary

Born to eternal life on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 91. Loving husband of the late Elizabeth for 57 years. Proud father of Carrie (Tim) Handler, Tom (Lynne) Bauer, and Christine (and the late Tom) Gibson. Beloved Opa of Alex (Becca) Handler and Michael Handler; Ming Bauer; Tyler, Mitch, and Claire Gibson. Brother of the late Gertrud Habermehl of Northern Germany. Further survived by family, friends, and dear friend Kathleen Casey.

Erv was born in Neumünster, Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1953 in which he proudly served in the U.S. Armed Services. Erv and Betty met in 1959 when they both worked for NML. They resided in many locations including Greendale, Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Louisville, Houston, Naples, and Menomonee Falls. He enjoyed playing bridge, tennis, and soccer. He was also very handy with remodeling and gardening.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in Erv's name to Dickson Hollow or the Falls Area Food Pantry (fallsfoodpantry.org). A private memorial service will be held later at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
