Gary Michael Murphy Obituary
Gary Michael Murphy, of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 72.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Michael Murphy and JoAnn Delores Beck.
He was a beloved husband of Anna Murphy and a proud father to Jennifer (Brendan) Newman, Michael (Dana) Murphy, and Melissa (Ryan) Wagner. His greatest joy was being a grandfather to Elias, Ashlynn, Ridley, Ivan, Liem, Brycen, and Embree, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
He was the brother of Thomas Murphy, Cindy Cronin, and David Murphy.
Gary was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, talented master carpenter, and a true jack of all trades. He was the kind of man who could fix just about anything and took pride in everything he built, both with his hands and throughout his life. As the owner of Design Cabinets, Gary dedicated his career to his craft, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, creativity, and dedication.
Gary had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and model cars, enjoying the things that brought him happiness throughout his life. He was always willing to lend a hand, share his knowledge, or take on a new project. He was also a loving doggy dad, sharing a special bond with his four-legged companions.
Gary's hands built more than cabinets and beautiful things; they built a life, a family, and a legacy that will continue through the people he loved most. He taught his children not only how to work with their hands, but how to work hard, never give up, and always be willing to help someone in need.
Although our hearts are broken by his absence, we will carry him with us in everything we do. We will see him in the things he built, hear him in the stories we tell, and feel his love in the family he was so proud of. His grandchildren will grow up knowing the man who loved them deeply, and his children will forever carry the lessons and memories he gave them.
Gary may no longer be beside us, but he will never truly be gone. His love, his laughter, his stubbornness, his stories, and his incredible ability to fix just about anything will live on in all of us.
We love you, Dad. We love you, Grandpa. We will miss you more than words can ever say. Until we meet again, ride free.
A celebration of life will be held for those who loved or knew Gary at a later date.
