Jane was preceded in death by the love of her life, James M Fitzgerald, whom she married on November 8, 1952, children John and Patricia, siblings, Rose Beinar, John "Bud" Reed, and Rita Moran.

Loving mother of Mary (the late Larry) Franzel, James Jr (Judy), Jane, Gerald (Joan), Mike (Colleen), Terry (Laura), and Chris (Karen) Fitzgerald. Proud Nana of Scott (Amanda) and Steve (Jennifer) Franzel, April (Dan) Gushue, Ashley (Ryan) Blum, Sam, Marie, Thomas (Megan), Sean, Ryan, Connor, Cassidy, Katy, and Alex Fitzgerald. Adoring GiGi of Emerson, Beckett, Madison, Alivia, Evelyn, Audrey, and Julia. She is also survived by her sister Mary Jo Pelegrino.

Jane worked many years at Menomonee Falls Nursing Home. She joined a widow's group and established lasting friendships. She loved to travel, especially her bus trips to the Casinos. She enjoyed attending plays, playing cards, and watching the Hallmark Channel.

Jane was kind and loving to everyone, to know her was to love her. She was warm, witty, and wonderful. She will be missed by all.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to all the care givers who watched over Jane, especially the staff at Agrace Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory to Agrace Hospice of Madison (agrace.org) are appreciated.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 3pm to 8pm at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, N84W17937 Menomonee Ave. Menomonee Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, N88W17658 Christman Rd. Menomonee Falls.

“Jane was a co-worker with me at the nursing home in the Falls. She was a hard worker & fun to work with. We became good friends. Spending time going shopping together, having lunch & sometimes a movie. (There was another Marge that she went to the casinos with.) Jane was very kind & didn't judge. We had many laughs together.
