Katharine L. (Hassmer) Lutzke Obituary
Katharine L. Lutzke (nee Hassmer) was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on March 18, 2025, at the age of 98. She was born on September 6, 1926, the daughter of Peter and Luella Hassmer.
Katharine was the loving wife of 42 years, of the late, Gordon Lutzke. Proud mother of, Arthur (Earlene) Lutzke, Paul (Diane) Lutzke, Donald (Sandy) Lutzke, and Christine Zarling; Loving grandma of 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Katharine is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter, Rebeccah, parents, and sister, Elizabeth Hembel.
Katharine was a long-time member, for over 69 years of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Wauwatosa, Chapter 219 and the Menomonee Falls, American Legion Post 382. Katharine enjoyed crocheting, was an avid Brewer fan, and greatly enjoyed supporting St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Shriners Children's Hospital, the ASPCA and many other causes and organizations.
The visitation for Katharine will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls, from 2PM until time of the funeral service at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org), Shriners Children's, ASPCA, or to Holy Cross Lutheran Church are appreciated.
