Kenneth E. Borckmann Obituary

Born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the age of 86. Beloved husband and best friend of Janet (nee Parys), who dearly loved him for 64 years. Loving father of Laurel (Jeff) Boese, Derek (Jodie) Borckmann and Cyndi (Russ) Laabs. Devoted grandfather of Jon (Amanda) Boese, Josh (Jess) Boese, Kristen Boese, Ashley Laabs, Jack, Ryan and Nick Borckmann. Cherished great-grandfather of Zane, Nora, Adam and Wes Boese. Dear brother-in-law of Roger (Dawn) Parys and Mike Markowski. Ken is preceded in death by his sister Pat (Ed) Fretschel, sister-in-law Susie Markowski and parents Edward and Lorraine Borckmann.

Ken lived a full and joyful life, marked by the things he loved most. An avid golfer, he was proud to have scored a hole-in-one, and he celebrated the thrill of competition on the bowling lanes, where he recently achieved a perfect 300 game in a nine-pin tap. Ken also proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and was called to active service, an experience that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and pride.

Beyond his own accomplishments, Ken found his greatest joy in cheering on his children and grandchildren. Known as their biggest "super fan" he rarely missed a game, whether it was on the field, track, pool, stage or court. He also cherished time spent around the table with friends, playing cards, sharing dinners, and enjoying laughter. Traveling with family and friends brought him great joy, especially the 27 years spent at Jellystone, where countless memories were made. He especially loved to take in the beauty of the world that God has given us.

Above all, Ken's heart belonged to his family. He treasured his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as the son-in-laws and daughter-in-law who brought even more love into his life. But it was his wife - the love of his life - who was his greatest love and constant companion. Together they shared a bond so deep that they held hands through every season of life, right up to the moment he passed. Their devotion to one another was an inspiration to all who knew them.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 30 from 10AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12PM at St. James Catholic Church; W220 N6588 Town Line Rd., Menomonee Falls. Procession to Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon for military honors and burial immediately after Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken's name to the American Lung Association (https://action.lung.org) or VA Milwaukee Medical Center are greatly appreciated.
