Leah A. Sawnor Obituary
Leah A. Sawnor, affectionately known as "Vivacious Violet," passed away on August 5th, 2024, at the age of 45. Born on February 8, 1979, in Milwaukee and raised in Wauwatosa, Leah brought joy and color to the lives of everyone she met.
A proud graduate of Mount Mary University, Leah earned her BA in Theology also a Minor in Art. She was deeply involved in her community. She was an enthusiastic member of the Party Girls Pin-Up and a dedicated supporter of the Waukesha Civic Theater.
Leah is preceded in death by her father, Robert A. Sawnor. Leah is survived by her grandmother Grace A. Ver Vooren (formerly Wyrick), who lovingly raised her, brothers Dustin (Jessie) Jaquith and Jason (Sarah) Sawnor, and her adored nieces and nephews, Robert, Jillian, Nic, and Britten as well as her mother Carolyn A. Wyrick. Leah leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a gaggle of adopted nieces, nephews and God-children...her little nibblets.
Leah's hobbies included a passion for reading, knitting, and making hats. She was always accepting and caring for those she loved. Known for her quirky and sassy personality, Leah was full of life and love, never afraid to speak her mind.
A service to celebrate Leah's life will be held on Sunday, August 11th, at Schmidt and Bartlet, N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave., Menomonee Falls, WI. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM.
If you wish to send flowers, the family kindly requests purple flowers or plants to honor Leah's vibrant spirit.
