Mark E. Wagner Obituary

Mark Ervin Wagner, 83, of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his home on December 30, 2025, surrounded by family. He was and will forever be a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, neighbor, and friend.

Mark was born on November 26, 1942 in Brothertown, WI and resided in Menomonee Falls for 56 years. He attended Stockbridge High School in Stockbridge, WI. Mark served in the US Army Reserves from October 1961 to September 1968 during the Vietnam War and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant E6. Mark helped on the family farm, worked at Montgomery Wards, GKN (Zenith Sintered Products), and was a school bus driver with Johnson School Bus Services. He also was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4240, holding many state offices and Holy Hill Assembly 1677.

Those who knew Mark will remember him as a good neighbor and friend with quick-witted humor, love of socializing, and a deep appreciation for a good time, making every gathering brighter. He found joy in simple pleasures such as good cooking, playing Sheepshead, reading newspapers and National Geographic, watching history programs, and showing off his children and grandchildren to anyone who would listen.

He had many interests and hobbies, some of his favorites include bird watching, ice fishing, deer hunting, tinkering, golfing, and gardening. But most of all, Mark loved travelling. He and his wife explored Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Ireland, and he especially cherished taking his family to the most magical place on Earth, Walt Disney World.

Mark is survived and missed dearly by his loving wife Sandra (nee Jentsch) Wagner of 56 years. Loving father to Patrick (Karen) Wagner of Menomonee Falls and Beth (Mark) Clarstrom of Kansas City, MO. Proud Grandpa, affectionately known as Puppy, to Lilian, Cassandra, and Laurie Clarstrom, Nicholas and Angelena Wagner. Further survived by siblings John (Sandi) Wagner, Joan (Andy) Meyer, and Lois (Bill) Forstner, Mother-in-Law Shirley Jentsch, siblings-in-law Mary Kay Wagner, Walter (Marjy) Jentsch, Shelby Zahringer, and fur grandbabies Larry, Tyson, Rocky, and Logan, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. His memory will be cherished by all.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents Norbert and Alvera (nee Nadler) Wagner, brother Paul Wagner, sister Mary Alger, brother-in-law John (Buzz) Alger, Father-in-law Walter Jentsch, and granddog, Vincent Clarstrom.

Visitation will be held at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral home on Sunday, January 4th from 10am to 11am, service to follow. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Stockbridge, WI on Monday, January 5th at 11am.
