Marvin proudly served in the US Army as a demolition engineer during the Korean Conflict while stationed in Germany. He began his career at Allis Chalmers as a journeyman iron moulder and coremaker and retired after 30 years of dedicated employment. In his free time, Marvin enjoyed golfing, gardening and mowing his lawn.

He especially loved grilling and smoking a variety of meats- rain or shine- and even in a snowstorm. He loved to travel, learn, and read about History. Family was his number one priority and he loved spending time with them.

We will miss his pranks, jokes, endless stories and his great advice. Memorials in Marvin's name to The School of Veterinary Medicine Fund (UW Madison) "Animals Need Heroes Too" would be greatly appreciated.
