Richard G. Schuetze Obituary
Passed away peacefully and reunited with his parents on January 31, 2024 at the age of 82 years old. Richard was born in Milwaukee, WI to Alfred and Adeline Schuetze on June 16, 1941. He graduated from Custer High School in 1959 and then furthered his education at Spencerian College where he received an accounting degree. Richard served his country in the Army and then in the Army Reserve for 6 years, as a medic. He met, Karen, the love of his life from mutual high school friends, who in turn became lifelong friends. Richard and Karen married May 25, 1963 and raised 4 children together. His love of baseball led him to volunteer for Brown Deer Little League where he coached and served on the board. Richard started his career as an accountant with Louis Allis and then transitioned to Waukesha Engine/Dresser Industries for 34 years before retiring at the age of 62. After retiring you could find him and Karen spending winter months in Gulf Shores, AL and summer months in Eagle River, WI. He was involved with Trinity Presbyterian Church as an usher, served as an Elder, and an active member with Karen in the Voyagers group. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and golfing. Richard lived a full life up until the time he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior despite the daily challenges of Alzheimer's.
Devoted husband to Karen (nee Gustafson) for 60 years. Loving father of David Schuetze (Significant other Suzanne), Debra (Steve) Krejci, Donna (Steve) Grimm and Dean Schuetze (Significant other Beth). Proud Grandpa of Jon-David (Molly) Schuetze, Abigail (Fiancé Brain Lawlis) Schuetze, Catherine (Bryan) Thiessenhusen, Joseph and Jana Roch; Jenifer and Jack Hansen, Elizabeth Krejci; Meghan, Ben, and Patrick Grimm. Great Grandpa to Kane, Parker, Bryson, and Matthew. Richard also leaves behind many dear friends that surrounded him with love and laughter throughout his life.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Adeline.
