Ronald Hepner Obituary

Ronald "Ron" Hepner was welcomed into his Savior's arms on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Ron was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 1, 1938, to Maurice Hepner and Lorraine Hepner (nee Protzman). He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Patricia Hepner (nee Warden), siblings Bernice Flynn (nee Bliemeister), Carl Bliemeister, Robert Bliemeister, Maurice Hepner, Lorraine Balistreri (nee Hepner), Helen Walecki (nee Hepner), James Hepner, and Richard Hepner.

Ron is survived by his daughters Bonnie Garrett, Barbara Williams, Karen (Robert) Broring and Christine (David) Himm; grandchildren Christina Anderson, Travis Anderson, Zechariah (Amy) Broring, Dean (Shannon) Williams, Elizabeth (Ben) Malme, Briana Garrett, Hannah (Kevin) Renner, Megan (Ben) Arndt, and Nathan Himm; great grandchildren Branden Cooley, Uryjah Young, Vivienne Chunn, Trevor Anderson, Atraeyue Cooley, Rebeckah Broring, Willoe Pittman, Weiland Williams, Phillip Broring, Trenton Anderson, Robee O'Daniels, Charlie Pittman, and Ezekiel Renner; sisters-in-law Theresa Hepner and Young Ja Hepner.

Ron graduated from West Division High School in 1956. He served in the US Army from 1956-1959 and the US Air Force from 1960-1964. His Air Force service included time as a Missile Officer in the missile silos at Schilling Air Force Base, Salina, Kansas.

Ron worked in fabrication at multiple companies including The Rose Company and Perfex. Prior to his retirement he spent 17 years working as the "maintenance and handyman" taking care of the campus buildings and homes at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.

Ron had many hobbies and talents. He was an avid bowler and met Pat at a bowling alley. He and his brothers bowled together for many years on a team called "The Bros.". He also enjoyed golfing and even got a "hole in one" in 1997 at Wanaki Golf Course. He continued bowling and golfing in weekly leagues into his 80s.

Many family and friends were able to enjoy the house he and Pat built on Lake Camelot in central Wisconsin. His love for flying and planes drove him to get his small craft pilots license. Ron loved taking family and friends for a spin around the Milwaukee area.

In his 50s Ron learned to sky dive and completed solo jumps. Retirement didn't slow him down. He expanded his gardening and flower beds and learned to make wine. In later years he was a loving caregiver for his wife Pat.

Ron was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls. He spent many hours ushering, filling candles, doing repairs and maintenance and "whatever needed to be done.". A Christian funeral will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church (W156N5436 Bette Dr, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051) at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4. Visitation at 9:30 a.m. until time of service. A private burial will be held at Southern WI Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Pilgrim Lutheran Church are appreciated.
