Sandra L. Milbrath Obituary

Sandra Lynn Milbrath passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 79, while residing at the Cedar Lake Nursing Home in West Bend, WI.

Sandy was born in Champaign, IL, on March 28, 1947, the second eldest child of Howard and Cleta Piering, who preceded her in death. Sandy was also the loving and devoted wife of the late Gary Lee Milbrath.

Sandy graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Shortly after graduation, she married Gary, who was subsequently drafted into the U.S. Army and deployed to Vietnam.

Upon Gary's return, Sandra and Gary started their family, welcoming Deborah and Sherry into the world. Sandy was the consummate mother and wife, completely devoted to her family. To help provide for her household, she worked dutifully for over twenty years at Universal Strap in Jackson, WI. Sandy and Gary made their home in Jackson, Wisconsin, where they resided for most of their lives before relocating in their golden years to Menomonee Falls. Late in life, she moved to the Cottages of Cedar Community in West Bend, where she loved to play Bingo.

A woman of many talents, Sandy was a fantastic cook who truly enjoyed being in the kitchen providing for her loved ones. She also loved to sew, crochet beautiful pieces, and spend quiet afternoons working on puzzles. Sandy found ultimate happiness in being a grandmother to Jacob and Jessica, relishing every opportunity to spend time with them. She beamed with pride in their company and shed a tear every time they parted ways.

Sandy is survived by her daughters, Deborah Milbrath and Sherry (Mark) Waters; her grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica Waters; her brothers and sister, Fred (Camille) Piering, Linda (Roger) Palm, and Howard Piering Jr. (Gail Gotthelf); along with several close nieces and nephews. Preceded in death hy her parents-in-law, Hilbert and Gertrude Milbrath, her brother and sisters-in-law, Ronald Milbrath, Margaret Milbrath and Jane Piering.

In accordance with Sandy's wishes, there will not be a funeral. Sandy will join Gary's side and be adjacent to her parents at the Wisconsin Memorial Park.
