Sara Ann Eldredge Obituary
Sara Ann McFadzen Eldredge died peacefully, in her sleep, the morning of July 26, 2025. She was 86 years old.
Born the youngest of seven children to Aloysia (Allie) and Ellis McFadzen, Sara grew up in West Allis and Hales Corners. She attended Holy Assumption Grade School, Holy Angels High School, and graduated from Mount Mary College with her Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and History).
In 1962 she ventured out to Phoenix, Arizona to work as a social worker at the Good Shepherd School for Girls. She married and moved to California where she had her four children, Maggie (Rock) Bottomley, John (Lori) Lachman, Courtney (Brian Roskopf) Langbauer, and Launie (Robert) Lindemann.
In 1978 she moved to Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where she met her husband of 31 years, John.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John, and her siblings: Peter, Lois, John, Tommy, Jean, and Maggie.
Sara was known as "Boop Boop" by her grandchildren: Rachel, Leah (Bryan), Kalea, Max, Lauren, Luke, and Charlie.
Mom loved visitors, and if you brought a dog with you, she was even happier! Crash, Oliver, Chopper and WhoosieGoosie all had a special place in her heart.
Her niece and namesake, Sara, was a friend and frequent visitor. She loved their evenings together.
We are very grateful for the kindness and compassion shown by the care-givers at Grace Commons. Alzheimer's is a terrible disease, and to be treated with the love and dignity she was shown is a blessing.
Sara's son, John, said it best: "I will always remember Mom for her playfulness. She carried this quality with her throughout her whole life. Whether she was playing tennis, skiing, knitting, playing bridge, eating licorice, or Pop's custard, she was in the moment and relishing her joy!".
The visitation for Sara will be held on Thursday, August 7, at 9:00 am. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, with a lunch gathering to follow, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, N88 W17658 Christman Rd., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the House of Peace-Capuchin Community Services, 1702 West Walnut Street, Milwaukee, WI 53205, ATTN: Development.
