Michael A. Peterka Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Michael A. Peterka. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Barbara Ann, children Matt (Priscilla) and Kate (Chris) Gilrain, as well as 5 grandchildren, Austin, Oliver, Kylie, Ian and Gavin.
In his 75 years he lived his life full of joy and touched the hearts of everyone he met with his kindness and sense of humor. He loved watching every football game he could find, especially the Green Bay Packers and his beloved alma mater team, the Wisconsin Badgers. A few weeks ago he was able to attend the Wisconsin game with his son, who also graduated from Wisconsin, and his grandson Austin who is now a freshman.
He loved his job as a Pharmacist, especially developing a barcode system to make medication delivery safer for patients. In his spare time he loved to golf, read tons of books, and attend every sporting event to cheer on his grandchildren.
He attended Christ Church in Mequon, frequently volunteering for various church events. He will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him! A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Christ Church, 13460 N. Port Washington Road, Mequon. Visitation from 11am to 1pm, service starting at 1pm.
