He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Schield and Leona Schield (Schult); his grandson Mitchell Fruend; and his cousin James Schult. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Thomas (Matt) of Chanhassen, Kristen Schefdore (John) of Merrill, John Thiel of Irma and Michael Thiel of Wausau; his grandchildren, Ben, Madison, Nate, Owen, Katie, Brian, Terra, Jason, Jesse, Caryn and ShyAnne; his great grandchildren, Alphonse, Miles, Conner, Hanna, Lexi, Evalynn, Rosie, Anthony, Harrison and Charlotte; his former spouse Judine 'Judy Kroll; his wife Judy Schield of Merrill; his brother Dennis; his sister-in-law VerJean Schield; his nephew Brent of Tomahawk; and his cousin Jeff Schult. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED AT THE CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be directed to Faith Lutheran Church or the charity of your choosing.
