She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Rusch and Alice Rusch (Lemke); her husbands, Orville Schmidt and Robert Buss; her son Thomas Schmidt; her siblings, Betty Iwen Retzlaff, Phyllis Bell Vickers and Ardell Rusch; and her brothers-in-law, Donald Iwen, Donald Retzlaff, Harry Bell and Aubrey Vickers.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Noragon (Tim) and James Schmidt (Rae); her grandsons, Adam Schmidt (Kim), Paul Schmidt (Heidi) and Nikolaus Schmidt (Liz); her great grandchildren, Emmett, Everett, Beckett, Kora, August, Ivar and Evelyn; and her sister-in-law Diane Buss. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
