She was predeceased by: her parents, George Walter Benson and Florence Elizabeth Moore (Winchester); her siblings, Mabel Johnson (Adolph), John Benson (Ruth), George Benson, Margaret Wilson (Lloyd), Harold Benson (Bernice), Leonard Benson (Gisele), Norman Benson (Rita), Nellie Collins (Dennis), Clarence Benson (Mabel), Ethel Griffin (Jim) and David Benson; her husband Frederic Jack Shook; and her daughter Vicky Elizabeth Schroeder.
She is survived by: her children, Frederic Shook (Debra), James Shook (Penny), Stephanie Goertz (John), Deborah Shook, Carrie Pierschalla and Leonard Schroeder. She is also survived by son in law, 13 grandchildren, 34 great‑grandchildren, and 4 great‑great‑grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Waid Funeral Home (301 Eagle Dr, Merrill, WI 54452). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
