It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lawson (Merrill, Wisconsin), who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping James' spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawson and Marjorie Lawson (Peterson); and his sister Linda Liczkowski (Raymond). He is survived by: his wife Roberta Lawson; and his children, Jesse Lawson (Samantha) of Wausau, Jimmie Lee Lawson of Edgar, Nicole Hafele (Chris) of Holliston, MA, Anna Tockman (Brian) of Minneapolis, MN and Daniel Abt (Patti) of Shelby, NC. He is also survived by eight siblings; ten grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Waid Funeral Home (301 Eagle Dr, Merrill, WI 54452). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
