It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Janice Johnson of Merrill, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Emanuel and Clara Emanuel Sr.; her husband William Johnson; and her siblings, Roger Emanuel, Betty Krueger, Elaine Gano, Mary Ann Riebe, Harvey Emanuel Jr., Gerald Emanuel and James Emanuel.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Johnson of Merrill, Jonathan Johnson of Merrill, Heather Kassens (Bradley) of Oconomowoc, WI and Todd Johnson (Angie) of Merrill; her granddaughter Renee Luedtke (Donald) of Merrill; and her great grandchildren, Michael and Geoffrie. She is also survived by her granddog: "Rizzo" along with several nieces and nephews.
Because she had a love of dogs, family requests that in lieu of flowers, to please direct donations in Joan's name to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
