With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn Emma Sauer of Merrill, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 17, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Oestreich and Leona Oestreich Sr. (Berndt); her in-laws, David Sr. and Elizabeth Sauer (Herdt); her siblings, Arlene Rieckenberg (Jack), Elaine Oestreich, David and Daniel Oestreich; her siblings-in-law, LaVern Sauer, Ned Fox, Meta Mootz (Glenn) and Georgene Oestreich; and her son-in-law Patrick Myers.
She is survived by: her husband David Sauer Jr.; her daughters, Gloria Myers, Julia Wicke (Jon) and Darcia Hopp (Bert); her grandchildren, Matthew Brock (Stephanie), Krystal Brock, Jeremy Wicke (Molli), Justin Wicke (Symone Pero), Kristina Brown (Michael) and Eric Hopp; her great grandchildren, Marcus Brock, Elaina Brock, Mia Wicke, McKenzie Wicke, Jacob Wicke, Paisley Hopp, Jayden Wicke and Jarett Wicke; her siblings, Paul Oestreich, Marion Fox and Betty Clark; and her sisters-in-law, Marge Oestreich, Sandy Oestreich and Bernice Sauer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
