It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Joseph Sladek (Merrill, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sladek and Sophia Sladek (Wiesneski); his wife Kathryn; his siblings, Jeanette English (Lyle), Helen Alft (Alvin), Stanley "Ozz" Sladek and Antoinette Sladek; and his daughter-in-law Roxanne Sladek (Akey).
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Nienow (Brian), John "Jack" Sladek (Janie), Brian Sladek (Tammie) and Diana Zimmerman (Wayne); his grandchildren, Holly Nienow (Donnie Duncan), Christopher Nienow (Jennifer), John III Sladek (Ann Marie), Patrick Sladek (Talia), James Sladek, Renee Sladek, Hanna St (Chris), Sam Zimmerman (Emily) and Olivia Borchardt (Wade); his brother George Sladek (Mary); and his sister-in-law Leah Sladek (Stanley).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Francis Renovation, St. Francis School, or Lincoln County Sports Club.
