She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Licht and Leona Licht; her brothers, Henry Licht (Esther) and Robert "Bobby" Licht (Diane); and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Mussell, Augusta Leu (Robert) and Alfred Mussell (Marion).
She is survived by: her significant other Robert Mussell; her children, Gary Mussell (Debra Shipway), Barbara Hopfensperger (Dennis), Steve Mussell (Jenny), James Hopfensperger, Kristine O'Brien (Matthew), Ashley Andrew (Brian), Cody Mussell and Ryan Mussell; her great grandchildren, Thea Kay Andrew, Skylar Rose Andrew, Cora Lynn O'Brien and Amy Rose O'Brien; and her brother-in-law Paul Mussell. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in LaVerne's name to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter.
