It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LeRoy E. A. Schmidt (Merrill, Wisconsin), who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Carol E Schmidt (Schult); his parents, Elmer Schmidt and Alma Schmidt; and his daughter Katherine Schmidt. He is survived by: his daughter Barb Bonke (Bryan) of Missouri; his grandson Brandon; his daughter Chris Maahs (Keith) of Merrill; his grandchildren, Ryan Maahs (Emily), Tyler Maahs (Kristin), Gina Zurbey (Nick) and Jacob Maahs (Amber); his son John (Ellie) of Merrill; his granddaughters, Katie Halverson and JoAnn Brandenburg (Jeff) of Merrill; his great grandchildren, Jennifer Lee (Jon), Cale, Kaeden, Hudson, Kinley, Hayden, Bentley, Hollis, Owen, Hazel, Eldrick, Jazalyn and Juliann; and his brother Garry Schmidt (Barb).

The family requests that donations be made to Trinity Church and School in lieu of flowers.
