Marie M. Skic Obituary
We announce the death of Marie M. Skic of Merrill, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gottlieb Wirz and Marie Wirz (Voegli); her husband Anthony "Tony" Skic; her sons, Anthony Skic Jr. and John Skic; and her sons-in-law, Bruce Calmes and Bruce Hein.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Jean Calmes, Stanley Skic (Julie), Carol Hein, Rose Wilson (Calvin), Matthew Skic (Holly), Mark Skic (Nina), Walter Skic (Brenda), Louise Hackel (Mike) and Luke Skic (Michelle); and her sister Nathalie Fromfeld. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (107 N State St, Merrill, WI 54452). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran School Tuition Assistance Program.
