He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Kunkel and Mildred L. Kunkel (Gremler); his daughter Laura Ann Kunkel; his siblings, Roger (Nancy), Robert Kunkel and Carol Ann Krause (Roger); and his brother-in-law Robert Pike.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Kunkel of Merrill; his children, Tricia S. Lazare (Luke) of Merrill and William E. Kunkel of Bremerton, WA; his grandchildren, Amara Sue Lazare, Leo Michael Lazare and Lilly Sue Kunkel; his sisters, Kathy Frederick (Jack) of Wausau, Mary Pike and Betty Ollhoff (Richard) of Tomahawk; and his sister-in-law Gloria Kunkel of Tomahawk. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces, along with many good friends.
