He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob C. and Kathryn Hefty (Krugjohann-Schlatter); his sister Patricia; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Stein, Wayne Slotten and Beth Hustad.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Slotten; his children, Bruce Hefty (Mary Fredrickson), Jeanne Meyer (Jeff), Julie Molitor (David), Kristine Tilstra (Michael) and Brian Hefty (Sara); his grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda (Michael), Nicholas (Alissa), Thomas, Adrian (Shawn), Kassie, Aaron, Rose, Nathaniel, Theodore, Emily and Isaac; and his siblings-in-law, Connie Slotten and Dale Hustad. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home (29 6th Ave, New Glarus, WI 53574). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established.
