He is survived by: his wife Lori; his children, Lee (Megan), Tracy Thomas (Logan) and Sami Smith; his grandchildren, Liam, Mila Meinholz, Forrest Thomas, Dane and Cooper Smith; his brothers, Louie (Joanne) and Eugene (Jenny); his in-laws, Kathy Barman, Kevin Maier (Jane), Scott Maier (Daun) and Keith Maier (Lynn); his friends, Amanda Korsmo, Phil, Faylynn and Danilee Theis; and his pet Miss Pickles.

Art's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through tissue donation.
