Richard H. Acker Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard H. Acker (Middleton, Wisconsin), who passed away on July 7, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Acker and Helen Acker; his siblings, George Jr., Donald Acker and Liz Acker; his siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen Acker, Jean Acker and Mike Hinz; his son-in-law Jeff Schram; his grandson Matthew Beam; his niece Tammy Sibson; and his nephew Kyle Acker.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Sutter; his children, Rita Beam (Bob), Randy Acker (Kim), Mike Acker (Kari), Julie Acker and Janet Marszalek (Kevin); his grandchildren, Leigh Dierking (Frank), Ryan Acker (Lena), Lauren Meier (Heath), Amy Cleven (Brian), Sarah Barber (Jason), Jenna Ramirez (Carlos), Ben Acker (Caroline), Devin Eisner, Bob Marszalek (Megan), Matt Marszalek (Rachel) and Dan Marszalek (Sara); his great grandchildren, Natasha, Mackenzie Cleven, Abby Barber, Leo, Luke, Emma Meier, Charlie, Emilia Ramirez, Elisa, Camille Acker and Lily Marszalek; and his siblings, Syl Acker and Mary Hinz.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (7450 University Ave, Middleton, WI 53562). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Ignatius Calvary Cemetery - Mount Horeb (9418 Co Hwy S, Mt Horeb, WI 53572).
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or any preferred charity.
