He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wentzel and Melinda Wentzel (Becker); his wife Carolyn Krueger of Albuquerque, NM; his siblings, Arnold Wentzel (Dorothea), Arvid Wentzel (Joyce) and Arlynne Wolf; and his brother-in-law Thorild Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Linda, Jane, Peter and James; his sister Ardith Nelson; his brother-in-law Dan Wolf; his nieces and nephews, Linda Frankowski (Dennis), Jane Neuman (Thomas), Peter Wentzel (Laurie) and James Wentzel (Terry); his grandchildren, Andrew Neuman (Whitney), Marcus Neuman, Joel Neuman (Cheyenne), William Wentzel (Ellen), Brittni Carran (Pat), Caitlin Trimble (Zach), Brian Wentzel (Hayleigh), Amelia Wentzel and Lydia Wentzel; his stepgrandson Jay Horton (Erica); and his close friends, Dale Beutin, Theresa Biele and Amy Scott. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Arden's name to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Janesville, WI and Lakeside Lutheran High School, Lake Mills, WI.
