He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto C. J. and Rose D. Giese (Baker); his wife Evelyn; his sister Charlotte Hale (Stanley); and his nephew Shaun.
He is survived by: his sister Marjorie "Margie" Furseth; and his nieces and nephews, Paul (Angie), Eric (Christina), Chris (Geri), Andy, Judy (Terry), Sandy (Dave), Marylane (Bob), Denise, Holly (Mark) and Jackie (Dave). He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
