He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Newton and Margaret Melvine (Stigleman); his wife Patricia Ann "Pat" Page; and his siblings, Charles Garber and Bertha Holtz.
He is survived by: his children, Jay Garber (Theresa), George M. Garber (Julie), Tammy Vierck (Ken), Lee Garber (Laura) and Beccy Garber (Phillip Heth); and his brother Gerald Garber (Chris). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Schneider Funeral Home (1800 E Racine St, Janesville, WI 53545). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
