He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Simonich and Joseph Simonich; his sister-in-law Nancy Simonich; and his son Brian Simonich. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Simonich (Liedtke); his stepdaughter Cassie Finical (Matthew); his children, Theresa Simonich-Russ (Rodney), Kevin Simonich (Marnie) and Christa Bruning (Dean); his grandchildren, Cierra, Sydney, Sarina, Kayla, Emily, Joey, Shawn, Michelle, Zachary, Cody and Madison; and his siblings, Tom Simonich and Mary Jane Wagner. He is also survived by two nieces and a nephew.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, reflecting Joe's deep compassion and his heartfelt wish to see every sick child healed.
