He was predeceased by : his parents, Gailen Pierce and Janice Pierce (Graves); and his sister Cynthia Murphy (Pierce). He is survived by : his wife Mary; his children, Kevin Pierce (Bonnie) of Pittsville, WI and April Lalumiere (Mark) of Raleigh, NC; his stepchildren, Marisa Daum (Dan) of Princeton, MN, John Borman (Margo) of Cornwall and Veronica (Chris) of Thornville, OH; and his siblings, Allen Pierce (Gayle), Gordon Pierce (Pat) and Sally Neitzel (Jim). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and first great grandchild.

In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made out in Michael's name to the Gathering Place or New Life Assembly of God church.
