He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" H. Zumstein and Wilma M. Zumstein; his spouse Artis "Artie" A. Zumstein; his brothers, Robert and Richard; his sister-in-law Mary Zumstein (Sosinki); his children-in-law, Terry and Linda; and his grandsons, Jason and Joel.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Carr, Daniel Zumstein, Donald Zumstein (Rochelle), David Zumstein (Mary), Jackie Lee (Jamie) and James Zumstein (Kristi); his grandchildren, Scott, Kelly, Jared (Lisa), Timothy (Stacey), Steven, Thomas (Sheila) and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Mykah (Mike), Iain, Tobias, Taylor, Cameron, Kenzie, Tavra and Sheena; his great great grandchild Miriam; and his sister-in-law Anona Zumstein (Hellpap). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or Wonewoc Grace Community Church (formerly UMC).
