She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Leu and Florence Leu; her husband Frederick Michalowski; her grandson Matthew James; and her siblings, Ruth Beagen (late Joseph), Donald (late Mary Ann), Marvin and Frank Leu.

She is survived by: her children, Bruce (Beth), Kim (Yolanda), Kevin (Cheri), Brian, Keith Michalowski (Sherri) and Kathy Lieburn (late Tom); her brother Richard Leu (Nancy); and her sister-in-law Mary Leu (late Marvin). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in her name to the Port Washington Women's Club Scholarship Fund.
