He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph and Clarebelle; and his siblings, Roger, Michael, Paul, William Mitchell, Nadine Schahczinski, Louise Curler and Rebecca Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Mitchell (Yvonne), Lukas Mitchell and Jennifer Mueller (Milton); his grandchildren, Breanna Wargin (Jaydon), Alex Mitchell, Logan Mueller (Cassidy) and Kaden Mueller; his great grandchild Leila Rey Wargin; and his brothers, Marv, Dick, Tom and Larry Mitchell. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital preferred.
