Edward J Boucha Obituary
Edward John Boucha died peacefully on January 26, 2025 at the age of 71. He was born on November 23, 1953 to the late George and Alice Boucha in Warroad, MN. Ed was a proud Native American and a band member of Animakee Wa Zhing #37. Ed graduated from Warroad High School in 1971 and went on to play hockey, before settling in Milwaukee. In 1975 he met Linda, his wife of 47 years. They built a wonderful family, raising two daughters in a home filled with laughter and love. Ed was a dedicated and supportive dad. He was always there for his girls, whether it was teaching them to fix things or cheering them on at their games. Ed became “Papa” in 2005, a role he took very seriously. His top priorities were ensuring his grandchildren had plenty of potato chips, bologna sandwiches, and snuggles in his recliner. Ed was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan, proudly wearing purple and gold every chance he got. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and playing cribbage. A true jack of all trades, Ed had the special ability to fix anything. Known for his quick wit and ability to make friends with anyone he met, Ed left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will also be remembered for his generosity, dedication, and remarkable resilience.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice; sisters Darlene, Phyllis, and Susan; and brothers George Jr., David Sr., and Henry. He is survived by his wife Linda; daughters Jessi (Joe) and Jacki (Dan); grandchildren Emma, Kenadee, Camryn, Brooklyn, JJ, and CeCe; siblings Shirley (Stan) Flick, Jim (Donna) Boucha, Jeff “Tades” (Ardy) Sargent; aunt Irene Bobczynski; in-laws Elaine Boucha, Jim Dorion, Butch Erspamer, Rose Swanson, Sam Morello, Beth (Sy) Brzeczkowski.
