He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elma Lou Carter; his children, Scott Benton, Teianya Marie Allen, Kenji Carter, Phillip Carter and Steven Carter; his stepdaughter Sofia Murillo; his granddaughters, Keyani Troy, Summer Allen and Addisen Allen; his great grandchild Knayama Troy; Faye Young. He was also cherished by his family, friends.
