He was predeceased by: his parents, Ike Kennedy and Gertude Brooks; his siblings, Earl Smith, Sam Scott, John Lee Scott, Rosie Lee Thompson, Martha Cathy and Bertha Hortman; and his niece Dorothy Mae Love.
He is survived by: his children, Lafondra Thomas (Peaches), Regina Patrick, Frank Tucker and Tyrone Sewell; and his sisters, Marie Johnson and Essie Anderson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 42, great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
