He was predeceased by: his parents, John Block and Doris Block; and his siblings-in-law, Steve, Ann Makkos, Stephen Makkos Jr. and Tom Makkos.
He is survived by: his children, Robin (Paul Giesen) and Christopher; his wife Nancy; his children, Chris and Dan; his grandchildren, Zoe Whorrall (Jess), Maxwell Schwarz and Kaya Schwarz; his siblings, Louise Schreiber (Paul) and Richard Block (Mary); and his sister-in-law Mary Makkos. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and dear dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Christ Alone Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN are appreciated.
