He was predeceased by: his parents, Sim Owens and Dorothy Mae Owens (Grimes); his siblings, Peggy Bell and Jimmy Owens; and his stepmother Elizabeth Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Marie Berry; his children, Raymond White, Undre Owens (Jennifer), Demetrius "Nicole" Evers (Theodore), Denika Anderson, Tasha Smith, Lyndale Owens, Carter Smith, Jeremiah Owens and Robert Owens; his siblings, Gary Owens (Kathy), Rodney Owens (Cathy), Clarease Dozier, Nina Owens-Nichols, Rory Owens and Sim "LaMonte" Owens (Dominique); his mother-in-law Bobbie Berry; and his siblings-in-law, George Berry Jr., Hershel Berry (Tasha) and Carolyn Berry. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
