He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ballard. He is survived by: his daughters, Brooke Bechtold (Lee) and Lisa Ballard; his grandchildren, Jack, Michael Bechtold, Emma Ballard, Elijah and Jaylen Hardegree; and his brother Chuck Ballard of Des Moines. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
