With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Strunk (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), born in Tremont, Illinois, who passed away on October 18, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Strunk and Bertha Moser Strunk; and his brother Harold. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Callen (Doris), Colleen Hawley (Brian), Kate Moen (Terry), Maggie Leyes (Alberto), Peter and Charlie (Kristin); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Strunk Steinhafel (Paul), Alex Strunk (Cara), Caroline Hawley Resler (Kyle), Catherine, Meredith, Anna, Julia Hawley, Gabrielle, Xavier, William Moen and Riano Leyes; his sister Sally Hoffman; and his sister-in-law Thelma Strunk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Open Door Café at the Cathedral, 831 N. Van Buren St., Milwaukee, WI 53202.
