She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Perry and Helen C. Perry; her husband Dr. Thomas F. Hempel; her sister Lynn Patterson; and her siblings-in-law, Bonnie and Mike Osowski.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas (Susan), James (Susan) and Douglas (Rebecca); her grandson Parker Hempel; her brother-in-law Bill Hempel (Belle); her nieces, Erica, Becky, Melissa, Jane and Faith; and her nephew Richard Steinman (Judy).
