She was predeceased by: her son James Richardson III; and her parents, Joseph Carter and Helen Omega Carter. She is survived by: her husband John "Jack" Hauser; her daughter Tamara Jones (Raphael); her grandchildren, Davion Richardson (Laytee) and Bria Smith; her great grandchild Ry'lei Staples; and her sisters, Judith "Judy" Carter, Deidre "Dee Dee" Carter and Susan Joyce Williams (Terry). She is also survived by loving relatives, dear friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers memorials in her name to the Congregation of the Great Spirit Food Pantry where Jo Anne volunteered weekly or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
