With sadness, we share the passing of John R. Mankowski (Milwaukee, Wisconsin). John, born on October 11, 1944, passed away on September 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret and Leonard; and his siblings, Joe, Jim and Mary Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughters, Sarah Mankowski-Lathrum (Matthew) and Elizabeth McCullars (Jae); his grandchildren, Hannah Mankowski (Justin), Ethan Lasky and James Johnson; his brothers, Tom (late Kate) and Mike (Rita); his former wife Kathy Mankowski; his stepchildren, Wayne Frangesch (Lynn) and Shireen Rice (Brent); his stepgrandsons, Stefan, Conner, Braden, Brendan and Aiden; and his pet Kiera.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the Krause Funeral Home (21600 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53072). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Chapel (1515 S Layton Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53215). A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (3801 W Morgan Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53221).
