He was predeceased by: his significant other Linda Aikens; his parents, Howard Ellis and Lillian Ellis; his siblings, Ruby Lester, Victor Ellis, Jimmy D. Ellis, H. C. Ellis, Uly C. Ellis, Tracy Ellis and Sidney Ellis of Daisy Ellis, G. B; and his daughter Latisha Aikens.
He is survived by: his children, Terrell Aikens (Tyeshia), Avery Aikens (Iris) and Tanika Aikens; his grandchildren, Cairra Grace, Erin Henderson, Matthew Henderson Jr. and Daisha Aikens; and his brother Howard Ellis.
