With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Junker (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold McCarthy and Jessie Wood McCarthy. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Jessie Junker (Randy Callison) and EJ (Ed) Junker (Karen Tam); her grandchildren, Jasmine and Aidan Junker; her siblings, Dennis McCarthy (Pat), Cathleen Czajkowski (Dave) and Rose Bavlnka (David); her nephews, Scott (Kristine), Kelly, Joe and Michael; her stepmother Rose Hansen McCarthy; her husband Ernest V. Junker; and her brother John McCarthy (Peggy).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Robert Catholic Church (2224 E Capitol Dr, Shorewood, WI 53211). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (7301 W Nash St, Milwaukee, WI 53222).
From her Ford Foundation Fellowship travels in her 20s, to the Lewis and Clark Trail in her 50s, to several cruises in her 60s, to Disneyworld at 80, and Door County at 90, her voyages were lifelong and fulfilling.
