Richard Kuehn Obituary
Richard "Dick" Alan Kuehn, 80, of Milwaukee, passed away on October 10, 2026.
Born in Milwaukee, Dick was a 1964 graduate of Wauwatosa East High School. Throughout his working life, he worked as a baggage handler for Delta Air Lines and later owned and operated his own carpet cleaning business.
Dick was the uncle every kid wished they had. He was unique to say the least. Everyone loved spending the day at North Lake swimming, boating, water skiing, grilling out and just sitting on his frontage having a soda or a beer and enjoying the scenery.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip W. and Dorothy (née Schertl) Kuehn; his brothers, William, James, and Phillip J. Kuehn; his nephew, Scott Kuehn; and his sister-in-law, Faye Kuehn.
He is survived by his stepson, Bill Graham of Waukesha; his sisters-in-law, Geri Kuehn of Watertown and Jackie Kuehn of Three Lakes; and his nieces and nephews: Jeff Kuehn (Nancy Solka) of Waukesha, Dan Kuehn of Three Lakes, Cyndi McCormack (Andy) of Madison, Whynde Kuehn (Asbjorn Fisnes) of Stavanger, Norway, Michelle Gunderson (Rick) of Crandon, Marian Kuehn of Knoxville, Tennessee, Susan Toyama (Isao) of San Diego, California, Blayze Kuehn of Bremerton, Washington, Grace Gunderson of Logan, Wisconsin, and Noah Gunderson of Crandon.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 10 a.m. until noon at Schmidt and Bartelt funeral home (10121 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa, WI 53226) followed by a memorial service at noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.
