He was predeceased by: his former spouses, Florian Stanley and Linda Tate; his wife Karen Rubanka; his mother-in-law Agnes Rubanka; his daughter Lora Pierce; his parents, Robert Edward Pierce Sr. and Louise Pierce; his siblings, Christine Lewis, Patricia Moore, James Pierce and Everette Eugene Pierce; and his nephews, Craig Pierce, Everette Pierce and Dennis "Zeek" Pierce II.
He is survived by: his children, Darryl Pierce, Kevin Pierce, Reginald Pierce and Lynnesha Pierce Craig; his siblings, Dennis Pierce, Ruth Robinson (Lawrence Sr.) and Theresa Williams; his grandchildren, Robert E. J. Pierce (Michelle), Ryan Pierce, Raymund Pierce, Austin Craig, Ra'Niyah Williams, Alanna Jackson-Pierce and Reginae Pierce; his caregiver Milli; and his extended family, Michael Rubanka (Denise), Michael Rubanka Jr. and Hana Fuller. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
