Sharon L. Berwick Obituary
Sharon L. Berwick peacefully passed away on August 24, 2026 in Milwaukee, WI after a short illness.
Sharon was born in Shelby, Montana on April 15, 1933 to Ruby and Emali "Rudy" Rudman. She lived in Shelby before moving to Cut Bank where she graduated from high school. She attended college at Montana State University graduating with a B.S. degree in Home Economics Education and while there met her future husband, Dean on a blind date. They married in 1953 and were married for 61 years.
Sharon's professional career began as an Adult Education Instructor at Fort Richardson, Alaska while her husband was stationed there. After the Army, they moved back to Montana and she became a Therapeutic Dietician at St. John's Hospital in Helena. She became passionate about nutrition and diet therapy for health and disease management. After her husband's job transfer to Cheyenne, WY in 1972 Sharon worked as a Clinical Dietician at DePaul Hospital and later became the Director of Nutrition Services, retiring in 1996. She and her husband moved to Milwaukee, WI in 2011 to be closer to family.
Sharon was active in her church in Cheyenne and the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She enjoyed being part of a square-dancing group and spending time going to plays and dinners with friends. Sharon enjoyed traveling with her husband and especially cruises, where they went to the Mediterranean and South America. They were also members of the Montana Historical Society and enjoyed traveling back to Montana for conferences and learning more about their home state.
Most importantly Sharon was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dean, her son, Joel, and daughter-in-law, Willie.
Sharon is survived by her son Bruce, daughter Lynn Kenkel (Jeff), grandchildren Kelly Billings (Peter) and Katherine Berwick (Nathan Maier), Kevin Kenkel (Katie), Troy Kenkel (Abbi), and Anna Kenkel and great-grandchildren Kaia and Chase Billings, Kallie, Kaden, Kora and Liam Kenkel.
Interment of ashes will take place in Cheyenne, WY at a later date.
